In 1962, two men turned their chair expertise into a yet unknown empire. In a small rented building the two covered all aspects of the business for quite some time. Over 55 years later, Best Chairs has surpassed all expectations becoming Best Home Furnishings, a name adopted to further describe the entire product line. Family owned and operated, our facilities cover over 1,100,000 square feet in five locations with nearly 1,000 employees and is growing to become one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the world.

The company's success story began with a very simple theme: make the best quality product at the most affordable price. While the Best Home Furnishings of today no longer resembles the Best Chairs of yesterday, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to quality and the total satisfaction of our customers. Best's product selection has grown to hundreds of different styles all available in over a thousand diverse cover selections made to order in days, not weeks. Learn about the five pillars of success that make Best Home Furnishings truly, one of the best.

In 1933, W. Ray Jackson founded Jackson Furniture in the midst of the Great Depression. We opened our doors the day the banks closed theirs. Since then our family has continued to create furniture, right here in the USA. We have seen decades of American prosperity, challenge, war and mind-blowing advancements in science and technology. Our family has never forgotten the way our company and country began, with perseverance, hope and hard work.

Today, Jackson Furniture Industries remains focused in the USA. We have 6 factories and over 1,500 dedicated employees and vendors committed to producing the most comfortable and longest lasting furniture that money can buy.

A lot has changed in the furniture industry since 1933. Recent developments, such as the closing of major textile plants in the U.S., have forced us to go overseas for products like fabrics and leathers that are no longer available here in mass quantities. The covers on our products may be made elsewhere, but for nearly all of our products, employees in our American factories build the frames and apply the cover. While many of our components, including our recliner mechanisms, are fabricated by our dedicated employees in this country, we also consider international suppliers and laborers for some parts - such as handles, massagers and swivel bases - in order to build long-lasting furniture at an accessible price.

It all started in Sealy, TX in 1881

Daniel Haynes, a cotton gin builder, started Sealy by making cotton filled mattresses for friends. In 1889, he invented a machine that compressed cotton. Building upon the machine’s success, he licensed it to others to make mattresses with the name “mattresses from Sealy.”

In 1952, Posturepedic Technology is born

For the past 65 years, we’ve been at the forefront of mattress technology. We’ve leveraged our experience and innovations to provide technology that delivers deep, targeted support right where you need it.

Comfort that's proven to last

We go above and beyond industry standards to ensure your mattress will last for years to come. All of our mattresses are proudly built in the USA, and are rigorously tested for quality, comfort, and support.
